The seasoned executive, with a background spanning JP Morgan, Apex Group, Citco, and Ernst & Young, will oversee the alternatives offering within the bank's fund services business.
Appointee will succeed Clive Bellows, who has been recently named as president of Northern Trust’s EMEA business, pending regulatory approval.
The news marks another high-profile departure from BNY Mellon’s digital asset team, following Maxime de Guillebon in the past month.
With more than 20 years of experience, the seasoned executive will also assume the role of CEO of Northern Trust Global Services.
Orla Foley began her career at BBH back in 1997, holding a variety of senior client-facing and risk management positions at the bank’s Dublin and Luxembourg offices.
The custodian’s business intelligence and operations teams have been merged as part of the restructure, which has resulted in a string of high-profile departures.
The new hire with C-level experience will be responsible for overlooking the custodian’s software and data management business, having nearly $47 trillion of data assets on the platform.
Internal hire will be responsible for strengthening the unit’s securities lending, foreign exchange, triparty collateral management and financing services in the region.
Incoming hire brings with him nearly two decades of experience from Clearstream, where he held a variety of senior executive positions.
