CityCompass says FT Interactive Data has agreed to participate in the organisation’s B.I.S.S. benchmarking of its corporate actions services.

“FT Interactive Data was the first data vendor to enter the systems and services benchmarking last year and once again they are leading from the front,” says Gary Wright, Managing Director, CityCompass. “The importance of quality data in the market place cannot be understated and has become a prominent element of the Giovannini report and new MiFID directives. This benchmarking will once again establish the industry targets which vendors need to attain in their products and services; these will be measured to highlight strengths and weaknesses. FT Interactive Data achieved the B.I.S.S. Gold award last year, but this year’s benchmarking target is set by members of the Reference Data User Group (RDUG) who are acting as the benchmarking panel and will no doubt set a high standard. Nevertheless, we expect FT Interactive Data will once again show their value.”

Helen Cook, FT Interactive Data’s European business manager, says FT Interactive Data has been participating in open standards forums for a number of years and was one of the first vendors to map global corporate actions data to the ISO 15022 standard. “We aim to be at the forefront of industry developments and have longstanding relationships with most of the major software providers to help provide the information and tools for end-to-end added value solutions,” she says. “We were delighted to have been awarded the B.I.S.S. Benchmarking Gold award last year and look forward to taking part in this year’s benchmarking.”
