Vikram Kothari has built a career spanning more than 30 years in the global post-trade and market infrastructure industry, with experience across custody, clearing, settlement and capital markets transformation.
He began his career at leading global financial institutions including HSBC and JP Morgan, where he helped build and scale institutional custody and clearing businesses and developed a strong reputation for operational execution and innovation. He later served as managing director and CEO of NSE Clearing, where he led a series of reforms that reshaped India’s capital markets infrastructure. During his tenure, he oversaw the implementation of initiatives including T+1 settlement, investor-level collateral segregation, and enhanced risk management frameworks.
He has also been actively involved in industry forums and policy discussions focused on market infrastructure development and regulatory standards.
