Matthew Bax’s current role sees him operate as global head, sales and service, for securities services, after formerly being global head for direct custody and clearing.
He joined Citi in 2017 as EMEA head of sales for custody and fund services. He moved to Citi after serving over 13 years at JP Morgan, where he held a number of roles within global custody, fund services and securities lending.
He was head of FX product investor services, before being appointed EMEA head of global custody in 2014. Bax has been one of the constants among its senior ranks during Citi’s standout purple patch within securities services that saw the custodian post 17 consecutive quarters of year-on-year growth.
