New Jersey-based Yorkville Advisors, LLC, a provider of financing solutions to growing companies in the small-cap sector worldwide, has hired Ed Schinik as chief financial officer as the firm continues to build-up its infrastructure in anticipation of further growth.
In this newly created position, Schinik, 41, will manage all aspects of the accounting and operations departments at the firm, and will report to Mark Angelo, managing partner at the firm.
“Ed’s experience at a multiple-strategy investment firm will be instrumental as we look to take Yorkville to the next level, both in terms of growth and the development of new financing structures for prospective issuers,” Angelo said.
Schinik was most recently COO at Mellon HBV Alternative Strategies, an event-driven investment firm with approximately $1 billion in assets under management. Prior to Mellon HBV, he was vice president of portfolio reporting and partnership accounting for DLJ investment manager services, the prime brokerage unit of Donaldson, Lufkin Jenrette Securities Corporation.
Founded in 2001, Yorkville Advisors LLC is a private investment firm that specializes in structured finance and, according to Knobias Pipe Trac, was one of the most active investors in the US in terms of the number of structured equity financings in 2005.
