The private equity market in the Middle East is undergoing a rapid expansion in both the size and the number of funds, says a recent Walkers law firm report.
The growth in private equity in the region follows a similar trend in the US, Walkers says, where $6 billion funds were once thought to be very large but are now considered middle of the road as multi-partner funds worth far more are becoming more common.
The region is also seeing increased interest from outside investors, adding to the growth in private equity markets.
