The Central Bank of Bahrain has granted a licence to US-based Ramsey Quantitative Systems Inc. to establish a Representative Office in Bahrain.

Bahrain RQSI Middle East will be RQSI’s first presence outside the US. It will provide support to the firm’s existing client base of financial institutions.

“The CBB welcomes RQSI to Bahrain’s well-diversified financial services sector,” says Ahmed Al Bassam, Director, Licensing & Policy, at the CBB.

“The presence in Bahrain of a futures manager, such as RQSI, will reinforce the Kingdom’s status as a full service international financial centre,” says Al Bassam.
