Thomson Financial, an operating unit of the Thomson Corporation, has added new functionality and expanded content to First Call Analyst – the real-time, integrated research and analytical application for institutional investors worldwide, combining premium content with sophisticated functionality and intelligent navigation. Enhancements include robust First Call Events, email alerts when new research on the companies’ you follow are produced, 20 years of Worldscope fundamental data, and the global launch of the enhanced version of First Call Link.
First Call Link is the powerful add-in to First Call Analyst that enables buy-side research analysts and portfolio managers to quickly and easily create templates, build models and analyze First Call Analyst data in a Microsoft Excel environment. First Call Link dynamically updates users’ spreadsheet files and models, ensuring access to the most up-to-date information at all times. Spreadsheet data is set to always correspond with the content the user views in First Call Analyst, ensuring consistency between these tools without any additional downloading efforts. First Call Link users can also access pre-defined reports of information most frequently requested by analysts and portfolio managers by simply dragging the reports of their choice into an Excel spreadsheet.
“We are pleased to offer institutional money managers a new, enhanced version of First Call Analyst. With First Call Link, clients now can choose the environment in which they would like to access Thomson’s integrated, premium content,” said Nick Pastoressa, senior vice president of Thomson Financial’s Investment Management Group. “First Call Link is fast and remarkably easy to use, enabling clients to spend time analyzing data, not downloading it. First Call Analyst and First Call Link offer a powerful combination, streamlining clients’ research and analysis workflow to help them identify optimum investment targets with pinpoint precision.”
First Call Link can integrate a wide range of institutional content sets into users’ Excel spreadsheets, including global analyst estimates, historical data, actuals, aggregated forecast data, Worldscope company accounts data, as well as data from select third parties. First Call real-time morning notes and analyst research report headlines with a link to the full-text are also accessible.
