StreamBase Systems, Inc. releases StreamBase 6.6, the latest version of its award-winning Complex Event Processing (CEP) platform at TradeTech in London. StreamBase 6.6 includes updates to the core CEP platform and the Trading System Framework.
StreamBase has emerged as the dominant CEP firm in capital markets, says Mark Palmer, Chief Executive Officer at StreamBase. In the last year we have experienced record growth adding CME Group, SunGard, CMC Markets and City Index to our expanding roster of public clients. StreamBase 6.6 adds some key features such as Extension Points, Component Exchange Support, Module Interfaces, and improvements in Unit Testing.
StreamBase 6.6 includes some key improvements to the underlying StreamBase CEP platform, including:
–
Extension Points: StreamBases unique whiteboard programming approach allows business users and IT to collaboratively build event-based applications. Version 6.6 extends the ability for business and IT users to collaborate. Extension Points enable logic elements designed to run at the same point of the event flow within an SB application, to be easily snapped in and configured.
–
Module Interfaces: Useful to any large project or enterprise development effort where reusable modules or libraries are valuable, module interfaces enable StreamBase developers to easily define the interface to a module.
–
Component Exchange Support: The first CEP developer community, StreamBase Component Exchange (SBX), was announced in 2010. StreamBase 6.6 offers drag-and-drop support for SBX via StreamBase Studio and allows for rapid access to the growing number of modules available.
–
Unit Testing: StreamBase introduced a number of CEP innovations with the release of StreamBase 6.0 including Visual Debugging, Profiling and Testing tools. StreamBase 6.6 adds support for JUnit, an industry-standard and extensible alternative to the existing test facilities in StreamBase.
