Thierry Logier is to replace Barbara Vuylsteke as Director and Head of Product Management, Investment Funds – making him head of the FundSettle mutual fund platform owned by Euroclear. Vuylsteke has moved to the Transaction Processing department at Euroclear Bank.
Logier, who takes up his new post today, joins Euroclear from State Street Bank (SSB) Luxembourg, where, as Director of Sales and Marketing, he was responsible for promoting SSB’s Luxembourg services worldwide. He has worked in banking for over eighteen years, the last eight of which were spent in the fund administration business.
Prior to joining SSB in 2001, Logier worked for six years in sales and relationship management at Crйdit Agricole Indosuez (CAI), also in Luxembourg. Previously, he spent more than ten years at Banque Indosuez in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, holding a number of positions across the different entities of the Indosuez group, including roles in investment, private and corporate banking. A French national, Logier will report to Pierre Slechten, Managing Director, Product Management Division, Euroclear Bank.
“It says much for FundSettle’s market reputation that we have been able to attract a senior industry professional of the calibre of Thierry Logier,” says Slechten. “We are delighted that he has joined us at this exciting time in the evolution of the sector generally and of FundSettle in particular.”
Vuylsteke, meanwhile, has moved to Euroclear Bank’s Operations and Network Management Division, where she will take charge of the Transaction Processing department. During her five years in Product Management, she oversaw the launch of FundSettle.
Euroclear says that in the past year the number of transactions processed on FundSettle has risen by more than 240%, while the total value of funds serviced in the same period has increased by almost 270%.
