Investor confidence is up 4.7 points from May this month, State Street reports.
June’s score of 91.0 follows an upward trend over recent months in investor confidence.
May’s score of 86.3 marked a 3.3 improvement over April’s score of 83.0
Regionally, North American institutional investor confidence levels showed a hefty increase from 99.0 to 108.0.
The confidence of Asian investors also rose from 78.7 to 81.8, while the confidence of European investors fell to 87.2 from 93.9.
Based on the continued upward trend in the US during 2006, State Street Associates Director Paul O’Connell said he predicts rising stock prices through the end of the year.
