Fulton Financial Corp. will replace Valassis Communications Inc. in the S&P MidCap 400 after the close of trading on Monday, November 10. As of today’s close, Valassis had a market capitalization of approximately $90 million, ranking it 400th in the index.
Engaged in retail and commercial banking products and services Fulton Financial Corp will be added to the S&P MidCap 400 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Regional Banks Sub-Industry index.
Fulton Financial was previously announced as a replacement for S&P MidCap 400 constituent Foundry Networks Inc. which is being acquired by Brocade Communications Systems Inc.That deal is still pending final approvals. A newreplacement for Foundry will be announced at a later date.
