SIX has appointed Daniel Schmucki as its chief financial officer (CFO) and as a member of the group executive board.

Schmucki, who was formerly CFO and deputy CEO of Flughafen Zürich AG, will take up his role on 1 April 2017 at the latest.

In his previous role Schmucki was responsible for fee management, information and communication technology as well as risk and compliance management.

Schmucki joined Flughafen Zürich AG as head of controlling at the end of 1999 and also took over responsibility for the treasury and investor relations department in 2002 before becoming CFO and deputy CEO in 2008.

He was also named Switzerland’s CFO of the year in 2013 by the Swiss CFO Forum.

Before joining Flughafen Zürich AG, from 1994 he held various management positions such as CFO of Robert Bosch Internationale Beteiligungen AG.

Until Schmucki joins the company, Stefan Mäder, the current CFO of SIX, who has decided to leave the company, will continue in the role.
