Rhyme, created by an MBO of fund management back office systems from Misys, says it has enhanced the existing functionality and re-engineered it using the latest Quasar 6 technology principles with benefits including the ability to retain existing set-up, which reduces testing and implementation, and increases network security.

Quasar includes investment-modelling functions to support collective investments instruments and has a large installed base of mainly UK investment management firms. Clients include M&G, Jupiter, Newton and Coutts.

The Quasar 6 approach now enables the user to view calculations on screen, access the Quasar database, use standard industry packages and easy creation of cost sheets in a secure environment, allowing data to be pulled from a variety of sources.

“We are constantly looking for ways to improve our service to our clients and meet their needs,” says Paul Bebber, Sales Manager of Rhyme Systems. “Unit Pricing is a time critical function when managing both institutional and unitised funds and must take into account a very broad spectrum of investment data. With the new Unit Pricing module, users have benefits including automation and speed of cost sheet preparation, access to the Quasar 6 database, the ability to customise reports and view secure calculations online.”
