Credit Suisse says that its second quarter net profit of $1.75 billion was driven by massive growth in its wealth management business.

The bank’s 16.5 billion franc profits shattered analysts’ expectations 10.8 billion franc inflow and came primarily from the US and Europe.

The results were announced one day after investors were informed that Credit Suisse rival Deutsche Bank reported unexpectedly weak earnings from securities.
