With a new NYSE Euronext program, media outlets with have something they never had before: real-time market data for free.

The new initiative, called Real-time Reference Prices, will provide media organizations and Websites with current prices and data free of charge.

Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf will be the first user of the new porgram, when they launch a new version of their financial page, www.dft.nl, on 28 November.

Until now most websites displayed delayed data. Only investors with a subscription, via a vendor terminal or (online) broker account, had access to real-time financial information from Euronext markets. This new product offers investors, for the first time and for free, an easy accessible reference price from the most liquid market place in Europe,” said Andr Went, managing director of Data Solutions Europe.
