To maintain plans for future growth in transaction banking business Standard Chartered Bank makes new senior management appointments.

Neil Daswani, Global Head of Securities Services, has been promoted to the role of Regional Head, Transaction Banking, for North Asia. Daswani possesses deep knowledge of the transaction banking business, understanding of the key markets in Asia. In the present role he will be based in Hong Kong.

Giles Elliott, currently the Global Product Head, Custody and Clearing has been promoted to the role of Global Product Head, Securities Services which includes our Custody, Fund Services and Broker Clearing businesses. Previously worked with JP Morgan Chase and HSBC Elliott will contribute 18 years of experience in the Securities Services business. Giles is well acknowledged with 50 international markets. He will continue to be based in Singapore.

Jiten Arora, Global Head, Client Access, has been appointed to the role of Regional Head, Transaction Banking, South Asia, incorporating the previous South Asia and South East Asia regions, out of Singapore. Arora headed Standard Chartered’s award-winning launch of Straight2Bank last year, providing clients with streamlined and straight through processing of transactions, resulting in significant operating efficiencies and cost savings.

Neal Livingston, Chief Operating Officer, Transaction Banking, has been appointed Global Head, Client Access, with responsibility for Channel Management, Solution Delivery and Network Management. Neal’s solid background in strategy and banking will enable him to make a strong contribution to the Bank’s focus on delivering innovative client solutions. Neal will be based in Singapore.

In his previous role Neal Livingston was engaged in developing a global Transaction Banking business strategy reporting to Karen Fawcett, Group Head for Transaction Banking.

Transaction banking is a core revenue contributor for Standard Chartered’s Wholesale Banking business, says Karen Fawcett, group head, Transaction Banking, Standard Chartered Bank. We expect to see strong growth in this business going forward as Standard Chartered is a top transaction bank in the fastest growing markets in the world.
