Northern Trust has promoted Griff Ehrenstrom, senior vice president, Corporate and Institutional Services (C&IS), to head of North American Sales for institutional asset servicing.

Ehrenstrom will be responsible for North American sales of institutional asset services to institutional funds, large corporate ERISA plans, public funds, Taft-Hartley funds, insurance companies, and the foundation and endowment market segments.

“Northern Trust is one of the premier asset servicing institutions in the world, and we will continue our focus on external sales and strategic marketing, building on our longstanding reputation for client service and industry-leading technology,” says Ehrenstrom. “This is a tremendous opportunity for me to help Northern Trust further grow our business in North America, and I look forward to advancing our longstanding tradition of offering best-of-breed client solutions.”

A 21-year Northern Trust veteran, Ehrenstrom was most recently responsible for new business development for large corporate ERISA retirement plans. Before moving into sales ten years ago, Ehrenstrom was a product manager and on-line delivery consultant within the Corporate and Institutional business unit.

“Griff’s appointment is a testament to his unique experience in the asset servicing space and his outstanding record of success over the years,” says Sheridan. “His knowledge and expertise from over 21 years of experience will enable him to contribute immediately, and we are thrilled to have him in this new role.”
