The Clearing Corporation has appointed Michael K. Dundon as vice president, risk management.

Dundon has more than 15 years experience in the financial services industry, including 9 years in risk management. He joins The Clearing Corporation’s senior management team, where he is responsible for risk management with emphasis on implementing risk policies and practices in conjunction with new product development and services to emerging markets. He reports to Brett Paulson, president and chief operating officer.

“Michael brings a wealth of risk experience to The Clearing Corporation. He has extensive knowledge in the full compliment of exchange traded and OTC products including credit derivatives and FX. He has a distinguished record as a risk management professional,” says Paulson. “His broad experience will be an asset to The Clearing Corporation as we continue to bring our services into new markets.”

Before joining The Clearing Corporation, Dundon 42, served as Business Risk Consultant with Man Group PLC where he was a member of its North American team. Dundon also served as First Vice President and Internal Risk Manager at Calyon Financial (formerly Carr Futures, Inc.) where he directed the development and implementation of risk policies, procedures and an effective rating system to maintain acceptable credit risk levels. Prior to that, he was Risk Information Manager at AIB Capital Markets in Dublin, Ireland. He also held positions at Banque Indosuez.
