NIB Capital has acquired a majority stake in FundPartners, the Netherlands-based firm that designs and develops investment product solutions for pension funds, private banks and fund managers, especially in the hedge fund sector.

NIB Capital and FundPartners will now jointly develop a platform with a view to providing an integrated solution for pension providers in the light of the current concerns about pension funding.

“With NIB Capital as shareholder FundPartners will benefit from the infrastructure and international network of NIB Capital,” says Jeroen Tielman, CEO of FundPartners. “This strategic partnership will allow FundPartners to further strengthen the service offered to the Dutch pension fund market. In addition to this, today’s changing pension environment provides FundPartners with more scalable business opportunities. With NIB Capital as a strategic partner FundPartners is better positioned for this.”

According to NIB Capital’s Antoine Dijkstra, a member of the board of Managing Directors, “this co-operation with FundPartners will strengthen our position in the field of offering integrated solutions to corporate pension plans and industry pension plans. FundPartners will be instrumental for the implementation of pension and insurance products tailor made to today’s changing environment. The addition of FundPartners to the NIB Capital Group will contribute to NIB Capital’s strategy to provide the best solutions for its clients. NIB Capital developed itself, with her partners such as Integrated Finance Limited in New York, Harcourt Investment Consulting in Zurich and NIBC Petercam in Brussels, as an organisation which provides new financial technology for its targeted clients.”
