Daimler Chrysler CEO Juergen Schrempp has become the second New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) board member to resign following the resignation of NYSE chairman Richard Grasso. On Saturday, a spokesman for the German automaker confirmed a weekend German newspaper report that Schrempp was leaving following the row over Grasso’s $140 million pay package. Schrempp had voiced criticisms about the pay package in board meetings in August. Last week, H. Carl McCall, who ran the exchange briefly after Grasso’s departure, resigned.
