Misys plc, the applications software and services company and provider of software applications to the top 5 banks in China, appoints Graeme Beardsell as General Manager Misys Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, Beardsell will be responsible for managing strategy, business development, sales and day to day operations for Misys in the region, across its Solutions for Banking and Solutions for Treasury & Capital Markets business units.
Beardsell joins Misys from salesforce.com where he was Regional Vice President Sales and Operations and was instrumental in building up the Asian operations of salesforce.com. Prior to salesforce.com, Graeme was Director of Asia Pacific Telecom Solutions in IBM Global Services based in Hong Kong.

During 2008, Misys has been extremely active in China and other countries in the wider region. In January this year, the company announced a strategic alliance with Digital China Financial Software Ltd. (DCFS), China’s largest financial information technology (IT) service provider, to deliver a new, hosted, banking solution targeted at the estimated 30,000 small and medium-sized banks in China. Misys has also recently announced it is to provide capital markets software applications for China Everbright Bank and Bank of China in China and Wing Hang Bank in Hong Kong.
