Michael Schulz has been appointed as chief risk officer for Newedge U.K. Financial Limited, the groups office in the U.K.
Schulz will be responsible for further developing Newedge U.K. Financial Limiteds risk management structure in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements. He will report to Mathieu Giovachini, group chief risk officer, and Richard Wilson, CEO of Newedge U.K. Financial Limited.
Newedge is continuing to grow a comprehensive and leading-edge internal control framework and Michael joining further reinforces that fact, says Giovachini. We welcome his valuable international expertise combined with a strong knowledge of capital market products and credit, market, liquidity and operational risk methodologies.
Schulz joins from Renaissance Capital in Moscow, where he was the group head of Risk Management. Previously, he has held senior risk management roles at CQS, Lehman Brothers, Alphatraxx, Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Frankfurt, New York and London. He has a PhD in physics from Kings College, London.
