Merrill Lynch has chosen Radianz to provide the firm with an Internet Protocol (IP)network to replace its point-to-point connectivity.

The broker-dealer will use Radianz’s IP-based global financial extranet,m RadianzNet, to connect to counter-parties around the world, including stock exchanges, content providers, institutional clients, back-office service providers, vendors, and clients.

“Radianz has a unique understanding of the financial industry’s communications requirements,” says Andrew Brown, FVP of Merrill Lynch’s Global Network Services. “Merrill Lynch also recognizes the value and efficiency of consolidating our connectivity through a single, fully managed and secure IP network like RadianzNet.”

Doug Gilstrap, CEO of Radianz added: “We are pleased to have a close relationship on a global scale with an industry leader like Merrill Lynch.”

This announcement follows the news earlier this week that the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) had chosen Radianz over AT&T, MCI and SBC, among others.
