Sun Microsystems says that LogicaCMG has chosen the Sun Java Enterprise System as the infrastructure software of choice for the company’s growing range of wireless data services and wireless messaging solutions. LogicaCMG will implement the full array of component products included in the Java Enterprise System, allowing it to offer an increased range of services to its carrier customers and to further differentiate the company’s wireless messaging (voice mail, video mail and video streaming) solutions through scalability and competitive pricing.

LogicaCMG will use the Java Enterprise System to strengthen its range of messaging solutions, including LogicaCMG’s uOne Solutions Portfolio, which includes full-featured, highly scalable, carrier-grade voicemail, unified messaging and video services for wireless, wireline and broadband network environments. The Java Enterprise System will help deliver significant benefits to LogicaCMG’s customers including increased messaging capacity, lower cost per message, more secure messaging and a higher throughput of messages per second.
