Investit, a specialist investment management consultancy, has appointed Peter Ellis, formerly of Deutsche Asset Management, as principal of its Projects division. He will take on responsibility for developing the practice, and contributing towards the expansion of Investit’s business as a whole.
Investit says Ellis brings with him a formidable degree of experience in project management, people management, IT and consultancy in the asset management industry. His eight-year career at Deutsche, where he started as Associate Director of IT, encompassed a number of roles including Operations Director and Director of Performance, Business Consulting and Market Data. Most recently Peter was Managing Director of Performance and Client Services, responsible for a team of 120, and sponsoring numerous strategic programmes throughout the company.
“Peter’s track record of managing complex projects, and his history of working at the highest level within our industry, was extremely attractive to us, and no doubt will be extremely attractive to our clients,” says Catherine Doherty, Investit Principal. “Firms outsource entire projects to Investit, so they need to be confident that we have the skills and experience to deliver. Peter is exactly the person to instil that confidence. We’re delighted that he is joining us.”
Investit’s services include project and programme management, analysis, system selection and implementation phases. Investit pulls together the necessary team of specialists to resource projects of any size or timescale.
“I’m delighted to be joining such an exciting, and well respected company as Investit,” says Ellis. “It’s an innovative place to be, full of smart people and good ideas, and with an amazing breadth of services, knowledge and experience. The role will give me the opportunity to get close to the action, and really engage with Investit’s people and clients. I’ll be doing all I can to ensure that Investit continues to exploit its considerable potential.”
