JP Morgan has appointed Deutsche Bank’s Tim Fitzgerald as its head of global fund services.

Fitzgerald joins the rival firm in the custody space from his role as managing director and the global head of fund services. He had worked at Deutsche Bank for over 10 years.

Fitzgerald is set to team up with JP Morgan in the New Year, according to a note seen by Global Custodian.

Prior to his tenure at Deutsche Bank, Fitzgerald held positions at Goldman Sachs Fund Administration and Ernst & Young's Hedge Fund Audit Advisory practice.

Fitzgerald will report to Teresa Heitsenrether, JPM’s global head of custody and fund services. Heitsenrether moved into the role this summer and the appointment of Fitzgerald marks the divisions biggest personnel addition since her transition.
