Richard Roper, who was previously head of Client Services at JLT Benefits Solutions Ltd (JLT), has been appointed head of Sales. Roper joined JLT in 2000 as a senior consultant, becoming head of Client Services in 2005 with key responsibility for relationships with all the major Insurance product providers, as well as driving sales, client management and product development.

“Richard has contributed to JLT’s progress and growth since 2000. Richard has demonstrated a track record in sales leadership and delivering on business targets. Richard will assume responsibility for our sales team whilst ensuring that we can have a consistent and broad approach to providing prospective clients with one or more of a number of solutions from JLT,” says Duncan Howorth, managing director, JLT.

Roper has had management and strategic responsibility for a number of areas within JLT including the DC Pensions and Flexible Benefits and Communications businesses. He also successfully launched a new wealth management service for individuals and senior executives in January 2006 called JLT Private Clients.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to coordinate JLT’s wide ranging propositions to offer the market the complete employee benefit solution. 2008 will be a challenging year, but JLT are in a very strong position to capitalise on industry change,” says Roper.

As part of this appointment Roper has joined JLT’s Consulting Executive.
