Intertrust Group has hired two new senior positions as it looks to strengthen and support its expansion into the private capital sector.

Zoe Sheehan has been appointed as managing director of the private capital team, joining from State Street where she previously acted as managing director of alternative sales.

Prior to State Street, Sheehan served as director of sales at Sanne.

Based in London, Sheehan’s new role will consist of leading Intertrust Group’s European sales efforts within the private capital division.

Alongside Sheehan, Mark McKeary joins Intertrust Group as commercial director of the funds team.

McKeary brings over 20 years’ experience in financial services to Intertust Group, most recently serving as director of funds at IQ-EQ.

Before that, McKeary held senior positions at Augentius and Heritage International Fund Managers.

The two new hires follow the additional appointments of industry veteran, David Sarfas as head of private capital, and Barbara Martin, who has been appointed as global commercial director in Luxembourg.

According to Intertrust Group, the new appointments will accelerate its penetration across key markets and reflect the growth in demand for a more sophisticated technology offering and a broader range of end-to-end fund services from new and existing clients across Europe, North America and Asia.

Over the past year, Intertrust Group has made various changes in its leadership through new appointments. In March, the firm reshuffled its APAC fund services leadership with the appointment of James Donnan as regional managing director and Sarah Chao as head of its Hong Kong office.
