London-based Independent Trustee Services Ltd (ITS) have appointed Carol Perry as a Director. She was previously Head of Pensions at The House of Commons.
“This appointment comes at a time when the need for professional trustee representation on trustee boards has never been greater,” says Chris Martin, Managing Director, ITS. “Carol’s arrival will enable ITS to continue to develop its rapidly expanding ongoing trustee business which leverage many of the skills we have developed from our insolvency and special situations related appointments that have contributed to the successful growth of ITS.”
Perry has worked in the pensions industry for over thirty years, starting her career as a student actuary with Legal and General, moving through consultancy with Mercers, a pensions management role with a large multinational group and more recently as Pensions Director of Duncan Lawrie Pension Consultants and Moorgate House plc, before moving to her most recent role as Head of Pensions for the House of Commons.
Perry is a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute, qualifying in 1984, and has been involved in the education service of the Institute as tutor, author and examiner as well as serving as a member of the Board of Examiners for a number of years. She has also been a tPAS member and adviser since 1986.

Independent Trustee Services Ltd (ITS) was established in February 1991 and provides professional trustee services to ongoing pension schemes as well as working with the Pensions Regulator, Pension Protection Fund and insolvency practitioners.
