Standard Bank of South Africa has appointed Kenny Fihla as the new head of its custody arm, the Financial Asset Services (FAS) Division.
Fihla steps down as Chief Executive Officer of Business Against Crime South Africa and will join FAS from 1 September 2006.
Fihla studied Mechanical Engineering at the Harare Polytechnic and has an MSc in Financial Economics from the University of London. He also has an MBA from the University of Witwatersrand.
Fihla is a member of the boards of Rand Water Board, AVI Ltd and Blue IQ (Pty) Ltd, and of the Centre for Education in Economics and Finance in Africa, and the Disciplinary Committee of the Professional Soccer League.
