HSBC, JP Morgan And Barclays Received SII Awards For Talented And Professional Staff

HSBC, JP Morgan and Barclays were among the industry stars in the Securities & Investment Institute (SII) Awards ceremony on 26 February.

HSBC has produced six winners this year.They are:

-Nick Russell MSI, Fund Management unit, SII Diploma.- Samuel Ely MSI, Management Studies unit, SII Diploma.

– Vaikuntanath Srinivasa, FSA Financial Regulation unit of the SII Certificate Programme.

-Andrew McCrindle, FSA Financial Regulation unit of the Investment Administration Qualification (IAQ).- Chun Ping Kok, Asset Servicing unit of the IAQ.-Estelle Draycott, CREST Settlement unit of IAQ.

Domhnall Murphy, who works for Fidessa in Belfast is the candidate who collects the most Awards this year, having achieved three Awards for outstanding scores in his respective subjects. His achievements include:

Neil Whelan, who works for Principal Investment Management Ltd in Kent, achieved the ultimate in accolades in achieving two Awards in the SII Diploma category, SIIs post-graduate qualification. Neil receives an Award for the Investment Analysis unit and the Award for the Overall Diploma Prize.

JP Morgan has produced five winners this year. They are:

-Bryn Thompson-Clarke, who is the Certificate in Investments (Certificates Programme) Overall Winner jointly with Marcin Gatarz of Unicredit, Poland. Both Bryn and Marcin will have achieved their scores against over 10,000 other candidates. Both are attending the Awards ceremony.

Barclays has four Award winners this year. They are:

-David Skingle ASI, , Certificate in Derivatives.

-Jasper Hanebuth, Certificate in Securities and Financial Derivatives.

-Tony Mee MSI, Overall Regional Diploma Winner.

-Jason Teahon, Global Operations Management unit (SII Diploma).

Three winners are based in Scotland:

-Christine Rowley, for the Introduction to Investment: The Foundation Qualification.

-Kweku Anfam-Mensah, for the Collective Investment Schemes Administration unit of the IAQ.

-Ksenia Ostapkevich, for the OTC Derivatives Admininistration unit of the IAQ.

SII special Award categories include the Euroclear Prize in memory of Andrew Winckler, achieved this year by Michelle Snaith of UBS Investment Bank for her Diploma in Investment Compliance.

All our Award winners have shown they are some of the brightest talent in the financial services sector, says Ruth Martin, managing director, SII.
