Thomson Reuters announce global alliance with salesforce.com, the enterprise cloud computing company, which allows Thomson Reuters to deliver comprehensive wealth management offerings to its customers.

The agreement advances Thomson Reuters Wealth Management strategy to serve the independent advisor market, as well as deliver enhanced client management functionality to the wealth management investment community throughout the world, particularly in financial markets in Asia and the Middle East.

Thomson Reuters will use Force.com, salesforce.com’s cloud computing platform, to build a new web based application for independent financial advisors.

“By leveraging our cloud computing platform, Thomson Reuters can quickly build and deliver innovative applications that are reliable, scalable and secure, and provide the highest level of quality for their clients,” says Polly Sumner, president, Platform, Alliances and Services, salesforce.com. “Enterprise applications are moving to the cloud, and we are excited to help fuel that trend with Thomson Reuters.”

“Combining our industry leading content with salesforce.com’s innovative Force.com platform will allow wealth advisors around the world to proactively engage their clients with investment options, investment strategies and proposals,” says John Fennelly, global managing director, Wealth Management, Thomson Reuters.

“This should lead to higher productivity, higher percentage of transactions completed, and the opportunity to expand client bases by building meaningful, client-centric relationships with both clients and prospects.”
