Hedge Fund Subscriptions Continue To Outpace Redemptions, Says SS&C GlobeOp

The SS&C GlobeOp Hedge Fund Performance Index for May measures 0.77% and its Capital Movement Index shows net flow advanced 1.17% in June.

“Net inflows increased for the month of June, with subscriptions outpacing redemptions 2 to 1,” says Bill Stone, Chairman and CEO, SS&C Technologies.

The SS&C GlobeOp Hedge Fund Performance Index is an asset-weighted, independent monthly window on hedge fund performance. On the ninth business day of each month it provides a flash estimate of the gross aggregate performance of funds for which SS&C GlobeOp provides monthly administration services on the GlobeOp platform.

The flash estimate for June is 0.77%. Year-to-date performance reported at 7.14%; over the last twelve months, 13.38%.

The SS&C GlobeOp Capital Movement Index represents the monthly net of hedge fund subscriptions and redemptions administered by SS&C GlobeOp on the GlobeOp platform. This monthly net is divided by the total assets under administration (AuA) for fund administration clients on the GlobeOp platform.

Cumulatively, the index for June 2013 stands at 150.07 points, an all-time high. The index has advanced 2.37 points since June 2012.

Total assets under administration on the GlobeOp platform represent approximately 10% of the estimated assets currently invested in the hedge fund sector.
