Amid a worldwide boom in fund management assets, the UK has seen record increases in assets under management.
UK assets jumped 7% in 2005, bringing the total monetary value to over $3.5 trillion, marking the third consecutive year in which the UK saw assets increase. The UK is the third largest market for fund management after the US and Japan.
Assets worldwide also saw s significant increase, rising 10% over levels reported in 2005. Global assets reached a combined total of$55.0 trillion at the end of 2005 up 54% on 2002.
