Georgeson Shareholder today announced the appointment of Tim Marshall to the European board.

Tim, who was recently appointed Managing Director of the London office, takes up his position at board level with immediate effect. Marshall is credited with setting up Georgeson’s European hub in London in 1998 and has nurtured the office’s growth to its current 100 strong workforce. Tim has also greatly supported the expansion of the Georgeson Shareholder offices into Italy (Rome, 1999), South Africa (Johannesburg, 2000), Australia (Sydney, 2000), and France (Paris, 2001). Prior to working with Georgeson Shareholder, Tim worked as a broker with a large Wall Street Firm.

Tim now joins board members David Devon, Mike Dudley, Ian Hopkinson and Roger Tyson and will be responsible for delivering the UK business plan and expanding the company within Europe.

Commenting on the latest appointment, Alexander Miller, Chairman and Chief Executive of Georgeson Shareholder said:

“Drawing on his experience gleaned from working in both the US and UK markets, Tim brings his ability to forge enduring relationships with clients and develop and nurture staff skills across Europe to meet clients specific needs of the board. His attributes have greatly helped in driving the company forward over the past four years and I am confident that his input will help us realise our market goals in the coming four years.”
