Cogent Investment Operations Jersey Limited today has been appointed to undertake the administration of Threadneedle’s new range of Jersey-based funds.
The new vehicle, called Threadneedle Jersey Funds Limited, will be in an umbrella structure. The assets of each fund will consist of shares in the equivalent sub fund in Threadneedle’s UK Open Ended Investment Company (OEIC).
Cogent will be responsible for all fund accounting, pricing, dealing, client administration and corporate secretarial work for the Jersey-based funds.
Jim Clark, Head of Relationship Management and Sales at Cogent said:
“We are delighted to have been appointed by Threadneedle which continues the strong growth of our business in Jersey. Providing a leading investment operations service from Jersey is a key part of our overall offer to asset managers in Europe.”
David Sachon, Head of Distribution at Threadneedle said:
“We saw Cogent’s depth of expertise as a key factor. They are involved with a wide range of clients in a number of locations both in offshore domiciles and the UK. This means they are used to solving administrative problems and keeping up to date with changing regulatory demands for a broad and international range of clients.
They also have the resources in terms of systems and personnel to continue to maintain the high levels of service we seek to provide for the market.”
