Gemuer Quits Deutsche Bank GSS

Stefan Gemuer, the Frankfurt-based head of customer management in Europe for Deutsche Bank Global Securities Services (GSS), has resigned. The news comes as a surprise, since Gemuer was being positioned as the public face of GSS. Rightly or wrongly, this further evidence of management instability at the German bank will encourage competitors to fuel speculation that Deutsche Bank is planning to exit the securities services business.
