Fund services provider Circle Partners has merged with AMS Financial Group and rebranded under the name Bolder.
Circle Partners is an independent fund administrator with 20 years of operations and in 2019 had $10 billion in assets under management.

“Having worked closely together over the last decade with stakeholders involved in both operations, the consolidation of fund and corporate services is part of a growth strategy to offer seamless services worldwide,” the companies said in a joint statement.

“The changing financial landscape, as a result of the increased regulatory demands, has provided a unique opportunity to combine our range of services.”

The move comes amid a wave of consolidation in the fund services space as providers look to scale to keep up with the growing technology demands and offer a broad range of services beyond just administration.

Some of the larger non-bank players – like Apex Group, SS&C and Alter Domus – have been acquiring at pace in recent years while others have merged to keep up.

Boutique specialist providers in the areas of private capital and real estate have been particularly in-demand.

Circle Partners made its own move in 2014 when it acquired Caledonian Global Fund Services.
