The global head of market and financing services at BNP Paribas Securities Services, Eric Deudon, who had been in the role for five years as part of his decades-long tenure with the French bank, will step down next year.
He will be replaced by Frédéric Pascal who becomes head of markets and financing services (MFS).
Deudon has been with BNP Paribas since 1989, holding a number of trading positions across asset classes in roles that had seen him work in Bahrain, London and Paris.
His most recent role as global head of market and financing services had seen him drive BNP Paribas’ recent developments which included the extension of principal lending to wealth managers and the development of reporting application for Automated FX and an investment in HQLAx, which uses blockchain to facilitate the exchange of collateral.
Pascal took on the new role on 1 November 2021 and will be responsible for driving the growth of MFS products and services, including securities lending, foreign exchange services, triparty collateral management, and financing.
Pascal joined the bank in 1999 and has extensive experience within the financial and securities services industries, having held several senior management positions within the bank’s fixed income, structured products and strategy departments. More recently, he was responsible for BNP Paribas Securities Services’ finance and asset liability management and treasury departments.
