FTSE Group (FTSE), a global index provider, has added hedge fund and commercial property holdings to its FTSE APCIMS Private Investor index series.

The FTSE APCIMS Private Investor Index Series provides investors with an objective, multi-asset benchmark against which they are able to measure their investment portfolios.

“FTSE is committed to providing best practice indexing services to meet market requirements through our broad capabilities across a range of asset classes,” says Mark Makepeace, chief executive of FTSE Group. “The FTSE APCIMS Private Investor indices are seen not only as an indicator of performance, but also as an indicator of the future direction of this particular area of the market. The inclusion of both hedge funds and UK property represents by far the biggest change to the structure of these indices since their original launch.”
