The Financial Services Agency has appointed Lesley Titcomb director of the regulatory transactions division.

Titcomb joined the Securities & Investments Board, the FSAs predecessor, in 1994. During her tenure she has covered both regulatory and operational issues at the SIB and FSA.

“I am delighted to welcome Lesley to the director team,” says John Tiner, chief executive of FSA. “She brings with her a wealth of regulatory experience including spending the last 12 months working with me and the executive committee in developing the strategy for the organisation and building on FSA’s move to more principles based regulation”

The regulatory transactions division is responsible for the FSA’s core regulatory processes and is one of the largest divisions within the agency.

The vacancy for the director position arose following the creation of the Financial Crime and Intelligence Division on 22 January.
