Fortis Prime Fund Solutions has opened an operation in Geneva to offer administration, custody and bridge, leverage, and structured financing to hedge fund managers and funds of funds.
Eric F. Jacobson has joined the Geneva office as Managing Director. He worked in Frankfurt and London before moving to Geneva, specializing in German-speaking Europe. His previous employers include DG Bank Frankfurt, Commonwealth Bank Australia, Bloomberg, and Market Axess Europe.
Jacobson, who was awarded a Masters in International Business Studies (MIBS) by the University of South Carolina in 1987, received a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Music and German from Connecticut College in 1983.
Sicco Plesman has also transferred from Prime Fund Solutions Amsterdam to Geneva. In the past four years, Plesman has been involved in establishing the Amsterdam office and business development in Europe more widely.
Fortis already has operations in Cayman Islands, Curaao, Hong Kong, Ireland and Isle of Man, and sales offices in Amsterdam, London, Luxembourg, Milan, New York and Tokyo. There are plans to open a representative office in Frankfurt.
