Patricia Lynch – who was head of sales for the Sequal trade matching product when she was at the London Stock Exchange, and later head of STP at Reuters – has joined virt-X.

virt-x, the London-based securities exchange and subsidiary of SWX Group, says Lynch will be Market Relations and Sales Director. She will also sit on the Executive Committee of virt-x. This expansion of the senior management team follows the recent promotion of Jim Gollan to CEO and Emma Vick to Deputy CEO.

Lynch is charged with consulting with market participants to increase both trading of European blue-chip securities and newer products sucxh as the rade reporting service.

Prior to joining virt-x, Lynch worked with David Gilks as CEO of Financial Solutions to Market Group (fs2m), a company focussed on helping technology companies grow. She previously worked as Director of both Securities Transaction Solutions and Straight Through Processing at Reuters, as well as Head of Business Planning and Marketing for the LSE’s Sequal product, and has acted as a Consultant in a variety of business development roles within the financial and trading technology sector.
