Former ING Custody Chief Harry Devroe Dies

Harry Devroe, who for ten years was the public face of the ING sub custody network in central and eastern Europe, died on Friday. Devroe, who was 61, had retired only a few months ago to his native Houston, Texas.

Harry Devroe, who for ten years was the public face of the ING sub-custody network in central and eastern Europe, died on Friday. Devroe, who was 61, had retired only a few months ago to his native Houston, Texas.

The former Director, Securities Services CEE at ING led the development of ING’s custody business in Central and Eastern Europe. He first joined ING Bank N.V. in 1994 as the Operations Manager in Prague, before moving to Amsterdam in 1997 to become Director, Securities Services, Central & Eastern Europe.

Devroe had worked previously for banks both in Texas and in Asia.
