The FESE Member Exchange have released statistics for July 2007, when more than 61 million equity trades were done with a value close to 2,012 billion EUR which makes it one of the most active months ever.

From January 2007 to July 2007, the value of equity trading was close to 13,620 billion EUR, this means a 37.4 percent increase compare to the same period in 2006. The equity market capitalisation of FESE Member exchanges went up to 12,128 billion EUR, around 19.6 percent increase over one year.

ETFs trading volumes were at the end of July 65.3 percent higher than in the same period last year, while Securitised Derivatives were around 41.2 percent higher.

Bond trading value went up to 3.9 percent and is now close to 5,800 billion EUR.

The number of derivative contracts traded has increased by 19.5 percent for equity derivatives and by 8.5 percent for bond derivatives in the last year.
