Paul Bodart, executive vice president of The Bank of New York, has been appointed to the board of Euroclear plc and Euroclear SA/NV.

“We welcome Paul Bodart to our Board and look forward to benefiting from his broad experience as we execute our major projects of consolidating our technology platforms and harmonizing market rules and practices. The Bank of New York is a very important client of Euroclear, and its continued representation on our Board is a demonstration of user governance at work,” said Chris Tupker, Euroclear’s Chairman.

Paul Bodart is responsible for The Bank of New York’s Brussels Operations Center, the Bank’s global custody hub in Europe. Before joining the Bank in 1996 as part of the Bank’s acquisition of JP Morgan’s custody business, Paul had worked for JP Morgan for ten years, first in Brussels and then in New York.
