Deutsche Bank will add up to 1,000 new employees in Dublin, where it is planning to set up a new global centre for hedge fund administration, according to a report in the Irish Independent.
The bank already has over 300 employees on the ground in Dublin, where it offers corporate, alternative fund, custody and other services. Its hedge fund administration office in Dublin was set up in 1998, and was expanded in 2011 when the bank established a center of excellence there.
State Street and Citi have over 2,000 employees in the city.
Deutsche Bank declined to comment on the report.
The bank was rated among the top providers in the latest Global Custodian Hedge Fund Administration Survey.
