CSC says that, just nine months after Swiss Re acquired Zurich Life’s book of business, the purpose built Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Centre in Swindon it agreed to provide has gone live. As part of the agreement, 40 Zurich employees joined CSC and a book of business consisting of 240,000 policies had to be transitioned.

This marks the first extension of CSC’s relationship with Swiss Re into the UK. Whilst for the time being the new centre in Swindon focuses on the Swiss Re business, CSC says it has given CSC Financial Services a base from which to launch itself into the financial services BPO market.

In fact, CSC will also be the BPO provider to Swiss Re for managing the administration of the business of Windsor Life Assurance Company the acquisition of which by Swiss Re was announced on 1 July 2004.
