Credit Suisse has opened a private banking office in Manchester, part of Credit Suisse’s overall growth strategy in its private banking business.
Credit Suisse’s decision to open an office in Manchester will allow the bank to be even closer to its clients in the North, offering them financial services from its global platform. Credit Suisse has continuously expanded its presence in the UK regions over the past five years. In addition to its main UK office in London, the bank offers private banking services to clients throughout the UK.
The North West and Yorkshire are experiencing sustained economic growth and increasing individual wealth. Over the past years, there has been a steady increase in the number of entrepreneurs and business professionals who require high-quality, tailor-made investment solutions.
“We are delighted to be opening an office in Manchester. This underlines our commitment to the North and our desire to build long-term relationships with our clients. With its global integrated bank and award winning investment management services, Credit Suisse is uniquely positioned to offer high standard, customised financial solutions to clients with increasingly complex needs,” says Richard Algar, head of the UK Regional Team in Credit Suisse’s Private Banking division.
Algar will serve as head of the office on an interim basis. The team covering the North will initially comprise five relationship managers. Credit Suisse has been advising clients in the region for the last five years and the team will continue to serve private clients throughout the North, focusing on Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds.
